STAR FISH applies maximum effort to supply of high quality seafood products, and safe for the final consumer. It is shown by the planning and strict enforcement of controls during the production phases and auxiliary processes.

We carry out controls of raw materials and products:

• Checking the conditions of fish and cephalopods whrn they arrive at the factory
• Daily production control.
• Examination of products during their expedition and inspection of the means of transport.

We verify the auxiliary processes to ensure the quality and safety of our products:

• Periodic inspections of fishing boats.
• Factory inspection: general conditions of facilities, environmental conditions of production and storage areas, control of machinery and equipments.
• Assessments of the safety of facilities and production (Food Defense).
• Chemical and microbiological analysis of water used in the production.
• Verification of the effectiveness of the work of cleaning and disinfection of installations and equipment.
• Inspections the means of transport of our products.

Our traceability system allows us to know in a very short time the raw materials, production and destination, of each batch of fresh fish, frozen fish and frozen cephalopods.

Since March 2015, the system of management of quality and food safety of STAR FISH is certified by IFS Food. This proves that our production processes comply with strict control requirements. Our customers and final consumers are assured that products are safe and of high quality.
