The fisheries, that provide us with the raw material (fish and cephalopods), develop in the East-Central Atlantic area FAO N.34. In particular, are located in Subdivision 34.1.32, defined between the 22 ° 30´ and the 00´ 19 ° of latitude North, the coast of Africa to the East and the 20 ° 00´ West longitude.

Star fish - Nuestros productos - Pesquerías

Star Fish has about 200 canoes for coastal fishing. They use traditional fishing methods. They provide fish and cephalopods of great freshness. After being extracted from the sea, they are placed on ice. The fish are in optimum condition when they arrive at our factory, ensuring that the final product hace a high quality.

We also process fish, octopus and squid obtained in craft carrying coastal fishing, in the area located on the continental shelf. Boats are equipped with the technology needed to keep catches in optimum condition until the delivery in the reception of our processing plant.

Captures are performed complying guidelines that ensure the sustainability of fisheries. Methods of selective fishing avoid that the accidental catches and rejects are used. The extracted quantities conform to renewal of the ecosystem capacity to prevent overexploitation of the resource. The activity is performed by avoiding negative impacts on the biodiversity of the fishing areas.
